Of all our disciplines, this one is the trickiest.  Bottles, small containers, tubs and bowls, all products found in the "beverage" marketplace. Some are empty, others full, some at room temperature, some frozen with a short handling time while some are so cold we have frost to deal with.  Sounds simple, but not after an hour of running and the frost is beginning to build up on the conveying surface  or it's getting into your pick and place vacuum heads.  Products that tip, have tapered or rounded bottoms or other  hard to handle products,  we've seen them all.  We've learned the hard way, by trial and error.  Success and failure.  Yes, we have had both. 

But the lessons we have learned, we now apply to every system we are asked to review.  We test each product at our build facility.  We need to know how it will react under all conveying circumstances.  Will it accumulate, how does it react to the guard rails, how much back pressure does it need to stop and start?  Add these to the fact that machine manufacturers are always increasing the output of their machines.
